Kickstarter pre-launch

NEONOVA

The Duskline

A planet split in half. One side locked in eternal sunlight, the other in endless darkness — and both sides one wrong move away from a war that ends part of the world.

Sector 1F–VI · Neonova

Two worlds, one fault line

The planet turns. However, one face has never left the light; the other has never seen it. Between them lies the Duskline — the thin band where the warmth dips, the air goes strange, and the light finally gives out.

Harjon Altus

Gold spires, mirrored water, and a sun that never sets on the Chronosite. Galas, broadcasts, Protectors, and a lockdown nobody is allowed to call one. Everything here is beautiful, and almost none of it is free.

The Dark Side

Ore, forges, and crops grown under artificial sun on regulated beats. The Dreymar Union has been told for generations that the dark was all it was ever owed. It has stopped believing that.

The story

He was supposed to be nobody

Taren is an eighteen-year-old goat herder on the light side. His herd keeps drifting toward the Duskline, where the air has been strange lately. His father is already across it, working the Dark Side.

He isn't the loud, chosen-one type — he's quiet, observant, and stronger than he realises. When the world starts coming apart, he has to choose between the world he was raised in and the truth he found in it. The choices land on him anyway.

The Founder’s Collection

One box, printed inside and out with both faces of the planet, holding everything above plus the one thing that exists nowhere else. When these are gone, they are gone — there is no reprint planned.

  • The character hex deck — 12 hexagonal cards in a hook box. Founder’s Collection only, and the only place it exists.
  • Both faction posters — Harjon Altus and Dreymar Union, neither of which will ever be sold online.
  • Signed hardback and paperback, the map, the stickers, the bookmark.
  • The author’s letter on parchment, as it comes in every physical copy.
  • Your name in the back of the book, and the epub in December.

From the author

“Neonova represents the moment I stopped living by other people’s expectations and started listening to my own inner voice. It represents the breaking point that became a beginning.”

Benjie · author

There was a long stretch of my life where I kept losing myself without realizing it. Leaving that behind was the first time I chose myself in years, and it forced me into a kind of soul-searching I had never done before.

So I turned to the one thing that had always been there for me — creativity. I thought I was building a portfolio. Instead, I opened a door I didn’t know existed, and suddenly my mind was overflowing with worlds that wouldn’t let me sleep. That was the beginning of Neonova.

The rest of the letter — the part about the point where I couldn’t see a way forward, and what brought me back — is printed on parchment and goes inside every physical copy. It was written for the people who made this book happen, so that’s where it stays.

Before you back

Straight answers

Why does hitting “notify me” actually matter?

Kickstarter pushes campaigns that move fast in the first 48 hours. Every follower it emails on day one is someone who can back before the algorithm has decided anything. It costs you one tap and it is genuinely the most useful thing you can do before launch.

Is the book actually written?

Yes — the full manuscript is finished, and the cover, the map and the whole physical collection are designed and costed. What's still ahead is the edit. Backing this campaign funds the professional edit and the print run, so you're not waiting on a first draft: you're waiting on a finished book to be made properly.

What formats can I get?

DRM-free epub, a signed 5×8 trade paperback, and a signed 6×9 jacketed hardback. Every tier includes the epub.

Is this a series?

The Duskline is book one of the Neonova trilogy. The world was built as a whole planet before it was ever a single book.

Which rewards are Kickstarter-only?

The Harjon Altus and Dreymar Union faction posters are made for Kickstarter and live events only — they will never be sold online. The character hex deck exists only inside the Founder’s Collection.

Where do you ship?

Everywhere. There are no excluded countries — if you can back it, I can get it to you. Exact shipping costs by region are confirmed on the Kickstarter page when the campaign opens.

When do I actually get it?

The ebook is estimated for December 2026 and every physical reward for February 2027. The edit comes first, which is why the ebook arrives two months ahead of print. Books are print-on-demand and ordered once the campaign closes.
